What Does an AAI Operations Officer Do?

Airside Operations: Managing all activities on the airside — coordinating the movement of aircraft between runways and parking bays, ensuring compliance with DGCA and ICAO safety standards, managing Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operations, and coordinating with airline ground handling agents.

Emergency Response: Acting as the first responder coordinator during aviation emergencies including aircraft accidents, medical emergencies, bomb threats, wildlife strikes (bird hazard management), and natural disasters. Operations Officers must hold Emergency Response Plans and execute drills regularly.

Air Traffic Coordination: Serving as the liaison between the terminal/airside operations team and the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower, ensuring smooth integration of ground movement with airspace management.
