The Brains Behind Military Hardware
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence. Unlike HAL which builds aircraft, or BDL which builds missiles, BEL focuses on the electronic brains of these systems. They manufacture radars, sonars, electronic warfare systems, and encrypted communication systems for the Indian Armed Forces.
Working as a Probationary Engineer (PE) in BEL means you will be involved in highly sensitive defense R&D and manufacturing. It is a premium job for Electronics and Computer Science engineers.
Eligibility and Pay
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science with a minimum of 65% marks (Pass class for SC/ST/PwBD). No GATE score is required.
Age Limit: 25 years.
Salary: E-II grade (,40,000 – ,1,40,000) with a gross starting salary of ,80,000 per month, along with performance-related pay and comprehensive medical benefits.
