The Food Corporation of India (FCI) is one of the largest supply chain management public sector enterprises in the world. It is the nodal agency for procuring, storing, and distributing food grains across India. The post of Manager (Category II) is a highly respected executive position, bridging the gap between field-level procurement (Category III) and senior policymaking (Category I).

FCI Managers are typically posted in large depots, regional offices, or the headquarters in New Delhi. The job involves managing massive silos, handling logistics for rake loading (trains), and maintaining the quality control of millions of tonnes of wheat and rice.

Eligibility and Compensation

Educational Qualification: For Manager (General/Depot/Movement), a Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks is required. For Manager (Technical), a B.Sc in Agriculture or a B.Tech in Food Science/Agricultural Engineering is necessary. CA/ICWA/CS candidates can apply for Manager (Accounts).

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years (except for Manager - Hindi, which is 35 years).

Salary: The pay scale for Category II Managers is ,40,000 - ,1,40,000. Including DA, HRA, and specialized allowances (like cafeteria allowance and leave travel concession), the starting gross salary is around ,71,000 per month.
