The Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) is one of the most widely recruited posts by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). However, candidates must clearly understand the job profile: This is a hardcore marketing and sales job.
An ADO does not sit at a desk passing claims. Your primary job is to recruit, train, and manage a team of LIC Agents. Your entire career growth, and a massive chunk of your income, depends directly on the total premium collection generated by your team of agents.
Eligibility and The Catch
Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
The Reality of the Job: During the apprentice phase, you are paid a fixed stipend. Upon appointment, the basic pay is around ,35,650, leading to a gross salary of ,50,000 per month. However, there are strict sales targets. If you fail to meet the required targets consistently, your services can be terminated. Conversely, if you excel, the commission and incentives can make you earn significantly more than an LIC AAO.
