Whenever you buy a ticket at a metro station or ask for directions at the Customer Care center, you are interacting with a Customer Relations Assistant (CRA). This role is recruited extensively by all major metro corporations like DMRC, UPMRC, and BMRCL.
The job involves managing ticketing operations, crowd control, handling passenger grievances, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates.
Eligibility and Selection
Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. A basic computer literacy certificate is often required.
Selection: The selection process is tough. It involves a CBT covering English, Math, Reasoning, and General Knowledge. Following this, candidates MUST pass a Psycho Test (CBAT) similar to the one given to Station Masters, to evaluate their reaction time and stress-handling capabilities.
Salary: The starting gross salary is around ,40,000 per month, with perks like free metro travel.
