NHPC Limited is a Mini Ratna Category-I Enterprise and India's premier organization for the development of hydroelectric power. Unlike NTPC (which relies mostly on coal), NHPC projects are generally located in the pristine, remote, and challenging terrains of the Himalayas, North-East India, and J&K.
As a Trainee Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical), you will be involved in the design, construction, and operation of massive gravity dams and underground powerhouses. It is a highly adventurous job offering incredible exposure to deep-rock tunneling and heavy hydrology.
Eligibility and Pay
Qualification: Full-time regular Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. A valid GATE score is strictly required.
Salary: Placed in the E-2 grade (,50,000 - ,1,60,000), the starting gross salary is around ,85,000 per month. Due to the remote location of most NHPC projects, employees receive massive hardship allowances, project allowances, and fully furnished quarters in NHPC townships.
